Hi, How are you? I would like to share a story about the inspiration for starting of this store:

I used to receive pocket money from my grand parents and relations when I visited Sri Lanka while living in the UK. My parents always asked what I would like to buy from the pocket money I received. On each long flight from London to Colombo, and vice Versa I used to read Sri Lankan magazines for travelers. The Gems in those magazines mesmerized me for so long, I finally asked my father that I would like to buy those beautiful gems, I saw in the magazine.

My father never laughed at me. He was an academic and he actually took his six year old son to State Gem Corporation in Colombo, Sri Lanka! I spent hours and hours and would look thro trays and trays of sparkling gems. When it was time to leave I was given a beautiful aquamarine, and white quartz which I admired and I was told it was from my pocket money! This was a defining moment in my life. Up to the date, I am still amazed that my father actually listened to me (a 6 year old!) which started my life long affair with gem stones.

I continued to visit the State gem corporation showroom in Colombo, (which alas is no more) each time I returned to Sri Lanka and fell in love with the gems, the colors, the dazzling spectacle. I would always buy a gem which would make me smile. In Sri Lanka we call this a smiling gem.

I still thank my parents for allowing me to buy and collect gems from that age (most parents wouldn’t!) The color, the sparkle will always put a smile on your face, but most importantly how the gem would make you feel. I am a healthcare professional with my own practice in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Why I started this store: I was an avid collector but now I felt I should share my experience and pleasure of over 40 years in collecting gems with the rest of the world. I would love the world to know the pleasure of holding a beautiful gem and enjoy the beauty and uniqueness of it.

I also want the world to know that buying or collecting gems is not expensive as most would think, and gems ALWAYS make a great investment with option of wearing your investment!! And to prove, not just royalty or celebrities, anyone can collect gems! You can easily buy a certified gem stone from USD100 onwards! Gemstones can help you during times of stress, negativity and help you relax. These are the reasons why I started this website.

Our collection is a dynamic collection. Most Gems and jewels will be on site for a certain number of days and then replaced with new selection. From each gemstone category, 5 to 8 gemstones will be displayed with dimensions.

We also display some of our custom Jewelry as a testament for our craftsmanship.

Gemstones is believed to hold mystical powers, tied to astrology, mythology and intrinsically linked to the religions of Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism.

If you require a gemstone or selection which is not in Catalouge: I will do my best to find any special gems or certain color, size or cut for you, and purchase is not required till you are happy and absolutely sure that you want that particular gem.

Now, before buying a gemstone, you must ask yourself what is your favorite color?

This may be a good place to start.

You can also glance through our random selections so you might see something you may really like but haven’t thought about this before!
